Blue Unnatural is a video project that develops between contemporary art, animation cinema and comics, filming and deepening a technique developed during the project Projection of Life. Imagining a Postmodern society descended into a science fiction reality, my research wanted to focus on the human/cyborg opposition.

Bio/bibliography of Marco Bolognesi

Marco Bolognesi was born in Bologna in 1974. He is a visual artist and director of experimental cinema. His poetics originates from childhood where drawing and poetry are the language with which he tells his inner world thanks to fact he comes into contact with authors such as Guido Crepax and Roberto Roversi. The social theme pervades his entire artistic career, the result of the international contamination through his numerous transfers; from Bologna to London, Rome, Vienna, China, South America and the United States. During his artistic career, he has carried out numerous projects, including Woodland  (2007), Babylon Federation (2008), Geiko (2008), C.O.D.E.X. Blue (2008), Genesis (2009), Pin Face (2010), Mutantia (2011), Humanescape (2012), Orlando Furioso (2014), Blue Unnatural (2017-2020), Techno Mutant (2017) and Corpi Estranei (2019) to name a few among others. Marco Bolognesi obtains many awards and exhibitions, including “Indie Short Competition” in Florida and “Roma Festiva” and “Festival international du court métrage de Clermont Ferrand” (2008), “What Made Us Famous” in Bologna (2011), the “Biennial of Contemporary Art Italy-China” (2012-2016), “Biennial of Curitiba” (2018), “Corpi Estranei” in the Marco Museum in Rome. He has published numerous monographs including Woodland (2006), Black in Black (2007), Protocollo (2008), Dark Star (2008), Humanescape (2012), Orlando Furioso (2014), Babylon Federation (2014) and Sendai City (2014). He currently lives and works between London and Bologna.
